Binh Thuan hosts the "13th Southeast Provinces Family Festival 2024"

Mr. Nguyen Huu Ngoc - Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the festival and Mr. Vo Thanh Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan chaired the press conference.

The festival will take place from July 11 to 13 at the Children's House of Binh Thuan province, chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province. The festival's theme is "Happy Family - Prosperous Nation", bringing together 18 typical cultural families from 6 provinces: Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh and Binh Thuan. This is an annual activity of the Southeast provinces, thereby promoting the theme each year. However, this year, it has been raised to the level of the Ministry, aiming to honor, preserve and promote the good traditional cultural values ​​of Vietnamese families in general and families in the region. At the same time, it is an opportunity for families to exchange and share experiences in building cultural families.

Mr. Vo Thanh Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Thuan province said: The festival has 4 main activities: opening, closing, cultural and artistic competitions, sports and other activities. Within the framework of cultural and artistic competitions, sports, the organizing committee will award prizes for the art performance competitions "Talented Family", "Reading with Children" and "Playing with Children" sports competitions. In addition, Binh Thuan province will have other spaces such as displaying OCOP products of participating localities, visiting historical and cultural relics, and entertainment in the province.

In particular, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is being assigned by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to coordinate with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University to develop the project "Binh Thuan cultural, family and human standards associated with the system of cultural, family and human values ​​of Vietnam in the new period". Through the festival, it contributes to clarifying and affirming the family values: prosperity, progress, happiness, civilization that the project is implementing.

Mr. Vo Thanh Huy added: Up to now, the preparation of facilities, equipment, security and order, environmental sanitation, and landscape arrangement at the festival venue in Binh Thuan has been basically completed, ready to welcome families, delegates and people to participate and cheer. From here, the image of the people and land of Binh Thuan will be known to more tourists.
