Blackpink sets new record with "Kil This Love"

On August 31, YG Entertainment announced that Blackpink's music video "Kill This Love" has officially surpassed 2 billion views on YouTube.

This is a remarkable achievement, coming 5 years and 5 months after the video was released on April 5, 2019.

With this milestone, Blackpink not only affirms their position in the K-pop market but also extends their record by becoming the first K-pop group and the only artist in Asia to have two music videos reaching 2 billion views.

The MV "Kill This Love" has joined the list of Blackpink's music videos with the most views, only after the super hit "DDU-DU DDU-DU", which has now surpassed 2.2 billion views.

The MV "Kill This Love" has received a warm response from global fans thanks to its energetic performance and sophisticated visuals.

The powerful choreography, especially the gun shooting moves, became an unforgettable part and helped the song enter the “Top 10 Most Viewed MVs Worldwide in 2019”.

Blackpink's dominance on YouTube doesn't stop at music videos.

The official YouTube channel of the Korean girl group currently has more than 94.7 million subscribers, the highest number among all artists, male and female, globally.

Blackpink's total content views have also surpassed 36.7 billion, affirming the group's strong influence on the platform.
