One of them is the photo series "Giua troi vinh quang" by freelance photographer Nguyen Khanh Vu Khoa, which thousands of young people use as wallpaper for their phones and computers.
These days, Mr. Nguyen Khanh Vu Khoa - a freelance photographer working in Ho Chi Minh City is still filled with pride and satisfaction when capturing rare moments - Su-30MK2 fighter jets soaring in the sky of Ho Chi Minh City.
“HCMC is very different this year. There are helicopters flying flags around the city, there are Su-30MK2s roaring and dropping heat traps - images that city residents may only see once in their lifetime,” Mr. Vu Khoa emotionally recounted.
So he spent almost a week straight, from the first days of rehearsal until the official performance, going to every corner of Saigon, watching every angle, capturing every moment, regardless of rain or shine.
“They only release the heat traps for a short time, if I stand in the wrong place, I will lose the whole day. But I am always eager, ready to wait all day to catch the best moment,” said Mr. Khoa.
From his own experience, Mr. Khoa felt that the roar of the Su-30MK2 with its white smoke streaking across the sky moved many people. He also never thought that a military scene could make him choke up, and his heart filled with such patriotism.

The photo series named “In the Glorious Sky” comes from the genuine emotions of a person who has been attached to nature and people every day. Now looking up at the sky, he sees a majestic, intense, sacred beauty.
"And not only me, the whole city was watching. The elderly, children, office workers, students... all went up to the rooftop, holding flags, eyes looking up at the blue sky. They were not just watching the planes, they were sending their patriotism, gratitude and pride into each look," said Mr. Khoa.
At first, Mr. Khoa simply shared the photos in the group “Vietnam Oi” with the intention of spreading beautiful images. But soon after, the photos were spread by young people, commented, texted, and asked for photos. Some even changed their phone backgrounds and profile pictures and considered each photo a sacred symbol.
Seeing that young people liked it, Mr. Khoa converted the photo format to phone and computer backgrounds and shared it completely free of charge. “I didn’t expect that after the ceremony, people would still text me asking for the photos. Some people said that just seeing those moments every day made them feel more patriotic and motivated,” Mr. Khoa said.
