Loc Binh: Evaluating the progress of eliminating temporary houses, dilapidated houses, developing social housing - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- On May 23, 2025, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses and Developing Social Housing in Loc Binh District (Steering Committee) held a meeting to assess the progress of implementation in communes and towns. Attending were members of the Steering Committee and leaders of communes and towns.

According to the summary report, in 2025, implementing Resolution 188-NQ/TU dated October 25, 2024, the whole district has 360 houses (292 new houses, 68 houses repaired). Up to now, the District People's Committee has completed 100% of the plan.

Pursuant to Decision 1025/QD-UBND dated May 8, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee (replacing Decision 270/QD-UBND dated January 24, 2025 of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee), the need to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses of beneficiaries, the whole district has 431 houses that need to be implemented, including: 342 houses that need to be newly built and 89 houses that need to be repaired.

The implementation work was effectively led, directed and implemented by the District Steering Committee, departments, and People's Committees of communes and towns, meeting the set requirements.

As of May 20, 2025, communes and towns are implementing 318/431 houses, including: 246 newly built houses, 72 repaired houses; the number of completed houses is 124/431 houses. Notably, in May 2025, the whole district started construction on 153 new houses and completed and put into use 64 houses.

In addition to the achieved results, some communes' implementation is still slow, the disbursement progress for beneficiaries is still low. By the end of May 20, 2025, communes have disbursed 930 million VND/ 11.5 billion VND, reaching 8.08% of the assigned capital plan.

At the meeting, the head of the District Steering Committee severely criticized the communes that still had a large number of houses that had not yet started construction and asked the communes to learn from their experiences and focus on mobilizing and persuading households to start and complete the projects in accordance with the province's direction.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Steering Committee of Loc Binh district requested: Steering Committee members continue to promote their role in leading and guiding communes and towns to remove difficulties and obstacles. The People's Committees of communes and towns continue to closely follow each beneficiary household, grasp the cases with difficulties in counterpart funding to have timely and flexible solutions, striving to start construction of the remaining houses by the end of June 2025. At the same time, communes and towns focus on mobilizing social resources to support households with difficulties in counterpart funding; for houses that have been completed, promptly inspect, make acceptance records and disburse funds to households, striving to complete the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district by the end of August 2025.
