The only remains of several houses full of flowers and ornamental plants built in the middle of a bamboo garden and pine trees in the former tourist area are empty lots. The floors are scorched and stained...
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Deputy Director of Bo Bo Eco-tourism Company Limited said in a meeting with businesses in December 2020 that the project is on economic land combined with national defense land, so all activities of the project must be approved. The business has sent a document requesting land lease and land recovery for a long time but has not received any response from the local authorities.
Those force majeure reasons delayed the project's progress, forcing it to bid and select investors, even though the Viet Bamboo Village Ecotourism Sub-project was not a new project but a project transferred from the Bo Bo Ecotourism Project since 2006, so there was no need to organize a bid to select investors anymore. But it was not accepted.
The investor left abruptly, leaving the project unfinished. However, his colleagues decided not to give up. According to Ms. Ha, Quang Nam leaders have requested local departments and authorities to issue specific instructions to the enterprise with quick and easy-to-understand documents and procedures in the spirit of the transitional project so that the Provincial People's Committee can decide to continue the project. However, up to now, the enterprise has not received any information. If the problems are resolved, the project will quickly continue to be implemented.
