According to the Provincial Military Command, at the time the pine tree fell, no vehicles were passing by, but traffic was blocked through the pass.

Lieutenant Colonel Ha Bao Loc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, said: The Provincial Military Command quickly dispatched a force of 25 comrades, including regular soldiers and militia and self-defense forces, to the scene to direct traffic and coordinate with the authorities to cut down pine trees to clear the scene. The forces also cleared fallen trees on both sides of the pass to ensure normal traffic.

Currently, Prenn Pass is temporarily closed to traffic due to landslides, traffic has been diverted to Mimosa Pass. Therefore, the prompt arrival of officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces to handle and remove fallen trees has contributed to ensuring traffic on the entire route.

In addition, the Provincial Military Command also directed forces to check along the pass route to promptly handle large trees at risk of falling to ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles traveling on the pass.
