Ministry of Education and Training proposes tuition support for students in storm and flood affected areas

The Ministry of Education and Training has sent an official dispatch to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities regarding tuition support for students in areas affected by storms and floods.

The document stated: The Ministry of Education and Training has issued Official Dispatch No. 2179/BGDĐT-KHTC dated May 13, 2024 and Official Dispatch No. 4916/BGDĐT dated August 30, 2024 to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities on the implementation of revenues in the education and training sector for the 2024-2025 school year.

In recent times, in addition to the policies of tuition exemption and reduction, support for learning costs and tuition support according to the Government 's regulations, many provinces and cities have issued resolutions on tuition support policies for preschool and primary school students in the area. The Ministry of Education and Training highly appreciates the attention and care of provinces and cities for education and sharing difficulties with parents and students.

Storm No. 3 and the recent floods and rains have severely affected many provinces and cities. The Ministry of Education and Training requests the People's Committees of provinces and cities to continue to consider and decide on tuition support and exemption for preschool children and primary school students based on their authority and current legal regulations to share and support parents and students, especially students in areas affected by storms, floods and natural disasters.
