Ministry of Education and Training proposes tuition support for students in storm and flood affected areas

The Ministry of Education and Training has sent an official dispatch to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities regarding tuition support for students in areas affected by storms and floods.

The dispatch clearly stated: The Ministryof Education and Training has issued Official Dispatch No. 2179/BGDĐT-KHTC dated May 13, 2024 and Official Dispatch No. 4916/BGDĐT dated August 30, 2024 to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities on the implementation of revenues in the education and training sector for the 2024-2025 school year.

In recent times, in addition to policies on tuition exemption and reduction, support for learning costs and tuition fee payment according to Government regulations, many provinces and cities have issued resolutions on tuition fee support policies for preschool and primary school students in the area. The Ministry of Education and Training highly appreciates the attention and care of provinces and cities for education and shares difficulties with parents and students.

Storm No. 3 and the recent floods have severely affected many provinces and cities. The Ministry of Education and Training requests that the People's Committees of provinces and cities continue to consider and decide on tuition support and exemption for preschool children and primary school students based on their authority and current legal regulations to share and support parents and students, especially students in areas affected by storms, floods and natural disasters.
