Leaving her eldest daughter behind, mother hugged her 8-month-old child and jumped into the Huong River.

According to initial information, at around 9:40 p.m. on May 11, Ms. Nguyen Thi K. (26 years old, residing in Phu Da town, Phu Vang district, Hue city) rode a motorbike carrying her two children to Thao Long dam in the downstream area of ​​Huong river (Hue city).

After leaving her motorbike and her 3-year-old daughter on the dam, Ms. Nguyen Thi K. took her 8-month-old daughter and jumped into the Huong River to commit suicide.

Passersby discovered Ms. H.'s eldest daughter standing alone on the bridge in a state of fear, so they stopped to ask about the incident, then reported it to the authorities.

Immediately after receiving the news, the rescue team quickly arrived, dived into the river to search and discovered the bodies of Ms. K and her child.

After the autopsy and necessary procedures, the bodies of Nguyen Thi K. and her children were handed over to their relatives for funeral arrangements.

The police are continuing to investigate the cause of the incident.
