Notably, according to confirmation from the Ministry of Culture and the Government of India, the Buddha's relics were sent off with state-level ceremony, equivalent to that of a head of state, when leaving India. This is an expression of the highest respect for the Buddha - the great Teacher of humanity, as well as demonstrating the deep spiritual and cultural relationship between India and Vietnam.

At Tan Son Nhat Airport, the welcoming ceremony was solemnly held with the presence of Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and members of the city government delegation.

On the side of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, there were Most Venerable Thich Thanh Phong - Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Permanent Vice President of the Organizing Committee of the 2025 Vesak Festival; Most Venerable Thich Phuoc Nguyen - Deputy General Secretary, Chief of Office 2 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; Most Venerable Thich Nhat Tu - Member of the Executive Council of the Executive Council, Deputy Head of the Central Committee of the International Buddhist Sangha, along with the Venerables of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the delegation of Indian monks. They performed the ceremony of sending off the Buddha's relics, preparing for the enshrinement ceremony in the capital city of Hanoi .

Immediately afterwards, the relics were transported by the Indian Government's military aircraft to Noi Bai airport and solemnly carried through main roads such as Nhat Tan, Vo Chi Cong, Dao Tan, Kim Ma bridges... to Quan Su pagoda - the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
Here, the relics will be enshrined from May 14 to 16, 2025, open to a large number of monks, nuns, Buddhists and people to worship from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day.
The event of inviting and enshrining the Buddha's relics for the first time in Vietnam is not only an honor for Vietnamese Buddhism but also a special occasion to spread the Buddha's message of compassion, wisdom and peace to the world.
