“Big fire at Hoa Khanh Industrial Park” is fabricated information

On the evening of May 28, the Da Nang City Electronic Information Portal officially denied information about a major fire at the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, affirming that this was fake news, untrue, spread on social networks with the purpose of attracting views and causing public confusion.

Previously, many social media accounts posted clips recording scenes of fire and smoke, along with information that "a company in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park is on fire". Some websites even had sensational headlines, stimulating curiosity such as: "Can we hear anything more?", causing many people to be confused and worried.

The news of a major fire at Hoa Khanh Industrial Park is completely fabricated, with the purpose of attracting views and causing public confusion.

However, according to the confirmation of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Da Nang City Police, on May 28, they did not receive any fire reports related to Hoa Khanh Industrial Park. Actual records at Hoa Khanh Industrial Park on the afternoon of May 28 showed that there was no smoke, fire or any signs of fire or explosion at Hoa Khanh Industrial Park as described in the clip.

Speaking to reporters, a leader of the Management Board of the High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks of Da Nang affirmed: "The information spread about the fire is completely fabricated and untrue". Through the Electronic Information Portal of Da Nang City, it is recommended that people do not share or spread unverified information, avoid supporting acts of spreading false information, affecting the psychology of the community. At the same time, the authorities emphasized: Any act of spreading fake news or spreading false information will be strictly handled according to the provisions of the law.
