Accordingly, Mr. Pham Van Hua – Director of Tran De Fishing Port Management Board (formerly Soc Trang province) – has been appointed to the position of Director of Tran De Fishing Port Management Board (under the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City), with the appointment term until October 27, 2029.
The Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City also decided to appoint two Deputy Directors of the Tran De Fishing Port Management Board, Mr. Quan Duc Danh and Mr. Nguyen Dang Luan.

Representing the leadership of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City, Ms. Quach Thi Thanh Binh – Deputy Director of the Department, congratulated the leadership of Tran De Fishing Port on its official establishment and becoming a fishing port under the direct management of Can Tho City.
To further promote the spirit of unity, Ms. Binh suggested that the Board of Directors of Tran De Fishing Port quickly stabilize the situation and seek approval for the appointment of heads/deputy heads of specialized departments according to their authority.
After assessing the port's operational situation, Ms. Quach Thi Thanh Binh expressed her pleasure that the unit had completed its tasks, and at the same time requested the unit to continue to build on its achievements, enhance collective leadership, and effectively carry out assigned tasks.
In particular, the Department's leadership emphasized the responsibility of Tran De Fishing Port in combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
On this occasion, the Tran De Fishing Port Management Board also proposed that the City's Department of Agriculture and Environment pay attention to directing the work of disseminating information and guiding fishermen to properly implement the regulations of the Fisheries Law and its subordinate documents.
At the same time, it is suggested that the authorities be proactive in handling administrative violations by fishing vessel owners/captains to deter future offenses. The Fishing Port Management Board also requested the City's Department of Agriculture and Environment to allocate funds for the unit to carry out dredging of the silted port area in 2026.
Ms. Quách Thị Thanh Bình acknowledged the proposal and stated that she would soon allocate funds for Trần Đề Fishing Port to dredge the silted area around the wharf, contributing to improved operational efficiency and meeting future development requirements.
Over the past period, the Tran De Fishing Port Management Board has organized the operation of the port 24/7 to serve fishing vessels. The number of vessels docking and staying at the port reached 19,500, an increase of 15% compared to the same period; the volume of goods passing through the port reached 162,000 tons, an increase of 2% compared to the same period.
Regarding the verification of seafood origin, it is estimated that in 2025, Tran De Fishing Port verified 173 dossiers, with a total seafood output of nearly 4,900 tons (a 50% increase compared to the set plan). To date, the unit has recorded nearly 2,800 vessel registrations at the port and over 2,800 vessel departures.
