Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung visits and presents gifts for the Lunar New Year 2024 in our province.

On January 27th, Comrade Nguyen Chi Dung, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Minister of Planning and Investment, visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families and disadvantaged workers in Ninh Thuan province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 (Year of the Dragon). Also present were: Comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Le Van Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Thuan province; and Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

In Bac Son commune (Thuan Bac district), Comrade Nguyen Chi Dung acknowledged the recent transformation of the province, noting that Ninh Thuan province is becoming increasingly modernized. However, he emphasized that the province and its people should not be complacent and need to make greater efforts to develop their potential and strengths. In particular, the village of Xom Bang needs attention and investment to ensure water resources for production, the conversion to suitable crops, and the integration of programs and projects for sustainable poverty reduction. He stressed that the people need to be diligent, hardworking, apply technology, and unite to develop the economy and build a cultural life, contributing to the further development of Ninh Thuan in the future.

Here, the Minister of Planning and Investment and his delegation presented gifts to 75 poor and near-poor households of the Raglai ethnic minority in Xom Bang village. The Minister personally donated 10 breeding cows, worth 150 million VND, to the people of Xom Bang village; and wished them a healthy, happy, and prosperous Lunar New Year.

Next, the Minister of Planning and Investment and provincial leaders visited the Innoflow Ninh Thuan Company's children's toy and stuffed animal manufacturing plant (Du Long Industrial Park, Thuan Bac district). This is the first production facility in Du Long Industrial Park and currently employs 2,700 local workers.

The Minister shared the difficulties currently faced by businesses and workers in production and business. He suggested that Innoflow NT Company, as well as other businesses, should aim for sustainable development, harmonizing the interests of the economy, society, and environment. The province needs to prioritize local investment, ensuring cultural facilities and the material and spiritual well-being of workers. During the visit, the Minister of Planning and Investment and his delegation presented 100 gifts to disadvantaged workers.

The delegation also visited and presented gifts to 100 disadvantaged workers and laborers at the construction site of the road connecting the Cam Lam-Vinh Hao expressway section to National Highway 1A (Phuoc Minh commune, Thuan Nam district).

Comrade Nguyen Chi Dung, along with provincial leaders, visited and inquired about the health and living conditions of the workers and engineers; encouraged them to overcome difficulties and work with the province to quickly accelerate the completion of the province's key project to connect seamlessly with the expressway, creating a continuous link in trade and economic development of the province.

On this occasion, the Minister of Planning and Investment visited and offered incense to the families of former provincial leaders (who have passed away): Nguyen Trung Hau, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and Major General Huynh The Ky, former Director of the Provincial Police.

The Minister visited and presented gifts to former provincial leaders from various periods (who have retired): Hoang Thi Ut Lan, former Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Duc Dung, former Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Xuan Hoa, former Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Pham Dong, former Director of the Department of Planning and Investment.
