Minister Hau A Lenh answers questions before the National Assembly for the first time

Sharing his concerns about answering questions before the National Assembly for the first time, Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh said he had carefully prepared the content to provide to the delegates.

On the afternoon of June 6, after the speech of Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung, Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh began to "sit in the hot seat".

This is the first time Minister Hau A Lenh has answered questions before the National Assembly.

He will answer questions about the responsibilities of the Ethnic Committee and coordination in implementing national target programs, including the New Rural Development Program for the 2021-2025 period; Sustainable poverty reduction for the 2021-2025 period; Socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2021-2030 period.

Policies to attract resources to support investment in the development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, areas with difficult and especially difficult socio-economic conditions, and solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in ethnic policies related to the demarcation of communes and villages in ethnic minority and mountainous areas... are also contents in the group of issues that Mr. Hau A Lenh must answer.

In addition, Mr. Hau A Lenh will answer questions about solving difficulties in residential land and production land for ethnic minorities, overcoming the situation of spontaneous nomadic migration, shifting cultivation, and deforestation.

Sharing with the press on the sidelines of the National Assembly earlier, Minister Hau A Lenh said he felt "very worried" the first time he spoke, because he did not know what issues the National Assembly delegates would be interested in.

Therefore, he said he had prepared very serious content to provide information to delegates, especially issues of the industry and fields that he is being assigned to manage by the Government and Prime Minister .

Regarding the three national target programs - one of the important contents in the group of questions, Minister Hau A Lenh said that the concerns of the delegates about the slow and sluggish disbursement of capital were correct, because the Resolution of the National Assembly was issued in 2019.

According to Mr. Lenh, the work is still being carried out in localities, but if we look at the amount of disbursement compared to the total capital allocated in the period of 2021-2025, we can see that the disbursement rate is very low. However, he affirmed that when there are clear legal documents and instructions from localities, the disbursement will also be favorable.

The head of the Ethnic Committee said that the lists, projects, and contents related to the disbursement of public investment capital in the ethnic sector are very concise, not as large as other programs, and will be widely deployed in all areas and localities.
