Speaking at the ceremony, Corporal Lo Van Thanh expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the leaders of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Police Department for recognizing and encouraging his work.

Corporal Thanh shared: "In such a situation, I think everyone would find a way to help the victim. Moreover, I have the honor of wearing the uniform of the People's Police Force, so saving people in times of danger is my responsibility and duty."

Earlier, on the afternoon of July 26, Corporal Thanh heard a cry for help in the Ban Chat hydroelectric reservoir area (Pha Mu commune, Than Uyen district), so he quickly jumped into the deep lake, brought two children to shore and provided first aid on the spot.

The two children, Lo Manh Toan (6 years old) and Lo Ha Vy (4 years old), both live in Than Uyen district. Currently, their health is stable.
