Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presents retirement decision to Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung presented flowers and a retirement decision to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet.

Attending this friendly meeting and expressing gratitude to Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet were heads of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and a number of National Assembly delegates from Lam Dong .

Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet was born on February 10, 1963. Before being assigned by the Prime Minister to work at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in April 2021, Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet was Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee.

Giving the best wishes and full of affection of a friend, a comrade, a capable and understanding colleague to Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said: "Throughout his career, Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet has held many important positions and contributed to many different agencies, always with enthusiasm, responsibility and effort."

Having held many positions, with extensive experience in the field of state management and rich leadership experience, Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet did not work at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for long, just over 2 years, but left many marks in leadership and direction.

Attending the meeting were leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and leaders of agencies under the Ministry.

Especially in the tourism sector, Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet has directed the tourism industry to make efforts to overcome difficulties after the Covid-19 pandemic and regain growth momentum. Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet and the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism have promptly advised the Government to organize many major conferences, issue important Resolutions and documents to promote tourism development, rapid and sustainable growth.

In the fields of Copyright, Cultural Industry or management of the Cultural and Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet has also left his mark in directing and leading and has made certain contributions to the industry.

Wishing Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet a happy time with his family and relatives in his hometown of Da Lat (Lam Dong), Minister Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that he will continue to work with the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to lead and direct the industry to complete the plans, goals, wishes, development ambitions, and the work that the Deputy Minister is directing.

Leaders of press agencies and schools under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism attended the meeting, congratulated and thanked the Deputy Minister.

Thanking the Minister, Deputy Ministers, Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their attention, support and facilitation, and the listening, cooperation and implementation of the instructions of the cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole sector, Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet said: “The period of 2 years, 7 months and 14 days of taking on the task at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has left me with special thoughts and feelings. The Covid-19 pandemic has had terrible impacts on the whole sector and the whole society, the large workload of the Ministry has forced us to try harder, to be dedicated to our work, with all our love for the sector, our own responsibility and the interests of the country”.

“I am very happy that over the past time, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has achieved valuable results, recognized by the Party, the State and society. This is also an outstanding development in this term, affirming the position of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in social life and contributing to the development of the country,” said Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet.

Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet wished Minister Nguyen Van Hung and the Deputy Ministers to continue to unite, be democratic, and creative in leading the entire culture, sports, and tourism sector to overcome the difficult period, achieve many achievements in the future, and meet the expectations of the Party, State, and People for the sector.

Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet said that in his working life, the time working at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was a beautiful time, full of joy and the "common house" 51-53 Ngo Quyen, Hanoi is a place for me to return to.
