Nostalgic with Cai Luong artist My Chau in the play Hoa Doc Trong Vuon

Although artist My Chau has been absent from the stage for more than 20 years, her voice and image seem to have not faded in the hearts of her fans.

Poisonous Flowers in the Garden is one of the Vietnamese historical works written by the late author Le Duy Hanh very deeply and conveys many profound meanings.

The play was staged by the Ho Chi Minh City Performing Arts Troupe around 1985, after the success of the play Tam su Ngoc Han . The main actors and actresses in the play were the artist couple Duc Minh - My Chau.

The play not only mentions historical events but also warns author Le Duy Hanh about dangers and dangers even in peacetime.

The video clip posted by fans on the fanpage is a recording edited and staged by artist My Chau herself.

The play opens with Ngo Quyen (played by Duc Minh) training his soldiers day and night on the training ground. He is the son-in-law of Governor Duong Dinh Nghe (played by Huu Tai).

Then suddenly there was bad news that the tribes were rebelling in Chau Ai. Ngo Quyen had to lead troops to quell the rebellion, but he was still worried because there was no one trustworthy in the capital.

Meanwhile, Duong Dinh Nghe still trusted Kieu Cong Tien (Suzhou), but in Ngo Quyen's eyes he was a poisonous snake.

Duong Nhu Ngoc (My Chau), Ngo Quyen's wife, asked to stay by her father's side to prevent danger. However, when Ngo Quyen left, the royal court immediately fell into chaos with many divisions...

Just the first part of the play "Hoa Doc Trong Vuon" was uploaded and many audiences felt like they were able to satisfy their thirst for old cai luong.

Many audience comments recounted how they lived with beautiful memories of the old days when they enjoyed the play live on stage.

What makes My Chau forever remain in the hearts of cai luong lovers is because she has a very special deep voice, not mixed with anyone else in the forest of cai luong stars at that time.

Her haunting, ghostly voice captivates many people. Her acting is calm and subtle, so My Chau is one of the few artists who can play many roles with psychological depth that are highly appreciated.

For many years, artist My Chau has lived a private life in the US. She has not appeared on stage and is rarely seen at events.
