Vietnam women's volleyball enters important tournament

After returning from a friendly tournament in China, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will compete in the next important tournament in 2024. That is the Southeast Asian tournament - SEA V.League 2024.

This tournament has the participation of 4 teams including Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines. The tournament is divided into 2 weeks of competition, week 1 takes place in Vinh Phuc (Vietnam) from August 2-4. Week 2 is held in Nakhon Ratchasima (Thailand) from August 9-11. In each week of competition, the teams will play a round robin with their opponents to select the champion team each week.

In week 1 at home, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will meet the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand. Today, August 2, the match between Vietnam and the Philippines will start at 7pm.

According to experts, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has a chance to win at least one week of the SEA V.League 2024 championship, especially the week at home.

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is in good form and recently won third place in the world tournament - FIVB Challenger Cup 2024 while Thailand is not in good form and most of its key players are old.
