Spread the new rural construction movement
After reaching the new rural finish line in 2023, Phuong Tu commune (Ung Hoa district) has soon developed a plan with the goal of bringing the locality to the advanced new rural finish line in 2024. In this, the local government identified the participation of the people as playing an important role.
Party cell secretary and head of Phi Trach village (Phuong Tu commune) Nguyen Van Pham said that information and propaganda work is given special importance by the local Party Committee and government. Thanks to that, people in Phi Trach village in particular and Phuong Tu commune in general have increasingly understood the purpose and significance of new rural construction.
“People have identified that building a new countryside contributes to creating a new look, is a solution to preserve the landscape and environment, so that future generations can have a better life. That is why everyone agrees and supports it. That is why, over the past 10 years, people in Phi Trach village and Phuong Tu commune in general have contributed nearly 45 billion VND to the program…” - Mr. Nguyen Van Pham added.
Immediately after reaching the advanced new rural area goal at the end of 2023, the Party Committee of Trung Tu commune (Ung Hoa district) issued a resolution to direct the task of building a model new rural area. The Steering Committee for New Rural Area Construction of the commune held regular meetings to urge the implementation of tasks and assign responsibilities to cadres in charge of the criteria.
Chairman of Trung Tu Commune People's Committee Nguyen Dinh Trong said that, in addition to continuing to maintain the achieved criteria, the local government has mobilized all resources to invest in completing rural infrastructure. With the proactive and drastic participation of the Party Committee and the government, and the joint efforts and consensus of the people, Trung Tu Commune has now achieved 7/7 criteria of a model new rural commune.
Along with Phuong Tu and Trung Tu communes, the movement to build advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas has also spread widely in five other communes of Ung Hoa district. Specifically: Dai Cuong, Kim Duong, Minh Duc, Dong Tan and Hoa Phu. Localities have mobilized hundreds of billions of VND in the past few years to complete rural infrastructure, creating positive changes in many aspects.
Towards smart new countryside
Last weekend, the Hanoi New Rural Area Assessment Team inspected the situation and reviewed the application documents for recognition of advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas for the 7 communes mentioned above in Ung Hoa district. The team members are representatives of departments and branches, and conducted an independent, public, transparent, objective and impartial assessment of the results of new rural area construction in the localities.
Although there are still some issues that need to be further improved, the delegation members all agreed that 7 communes of Ung Hoa district are qualified to submit to competent authorities for consideration and recognition of meeting advanced new rural standards (for 4 communes: Dai Cuong, Kim Duong, Minh Duc, Phuong Tu) and model new rural standards (for 3 communes: Dong Tan, Trung Tu, Hoa Phu).
Vice Chairman of Ung Hoa District People's Committee Nguyen Van Dinh said that the locality has identified new rural construction as a key and continuous task of the entire political system. Thanks to that, before the 7 communes that have just been assessed by the Hanoi City delegation, the locality has had 9 communes recognized by the Hanoi City People's Committee as meeting advanced new rural standards and 3 communes reaching the model new rural finish line.
Promoting the achieved results, Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh suggested that the 7 communes need to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to continue to participate in maintaining and improving the quality of the achieved criteria, and completing the basic achieved criteria. At the same time, well implement Plan No. 304/KH-UBND of Ung Hoa District People's Committee on digital transformation in new rural construction, towards smart new rural areas in the district by 2025.
Acknowledging the results from the tireless efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Ung Hoa district, Deputy Chief of Office of the Office of the Coordination of the New Rural Development Program of Hanoi City Ngo Van Ngon suggested that Ung Hoa district continue to direct the communes to inherit and integrate programs, projects and campaigns, emulation movements, following the motto of relying mainly on the internal strength of the residential community, with partial support from the State budget. At the same time, encourage economic sectors to participate on the basis of ensuring the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect and people benefit".
Mr. Ngo Van Ngon also requested that the Party Committee and authorities of Ung Hoa from the district to the grassroots level need to clearly define the work content, solutions, implementation roadmap and assign specific responsibilities to each specialized department, unit and individual involved in organizing and implementing the plan to build and maintain a commune that meets advanced new rural standards and model new rural standards; ensuring sustainability in new rural construction.
The results of the new rural construction in 7 communes have been approved and highly appreciated by the people. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ung Hoa district, Tran Duyen Hai, said that the results of the survey on people's satisfaction according to Instruction No. 90/HD-MTTQ-BTT of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for 7 communes all reached over 98% for question No. 9 (Overall, how satisfied are you with the results of the new rural construction in the locality?). In particular, 100% of the people in Dong Tan commune said they were satisfied with the results of the locality's model new rural construction.
