Gen Z teacher's stormy parent-teacher meeting, netizens praise her creativity

Recently, social networks shared a video recording a special parent-teacher meeting with a bustling atmosphere of laughter and surprises. This meeting is different from the traditional way of organizing - the teacher is the one who directly runs the meeting, reports on the students' learning results and parents focus on listening to their children's learning situation.

The young teacher organized an interesting game, parents were able to participate in the drawing to win prizes and receive gifts from the teacher.

The young teacher appearing in the video is Cam Nhung, born in 2003. This special parent meeting was held at Chau Binh 2 Primary School, Vinh Long province (formerly Ben Tre ).

Having completed the task of discussing the class's learning situation, teacher Cam Nhung cleverly "changed the atmosphere" with the game "Lucky Wheel" which she came up with the idea.

The game is designed to be simple and quick - all students' names are placed on the wheel. If the student's name is drawn correctly, the parent will receive a small gift from the teacher. The spins are done sequentially from third prize to first prize to create a sense of suspense and excitement. The prizes include: 2 third prizes, each prize receives 1 bag of milk; 2 second prizes, each prize receives 1 bottle of soy sauce and 1 first prize receives 1 pack of candy.

During the third prize drawing, when the result was a student with a twin brother, the female teacher quickly gave an additional gift to the parents.

Cam Nhung received "a shower of compliments" from parents thanks to her creative organization, bringing a joyful atmosphere and completely refreshing the image of the traditional parent-teacher meeting.

Since her time as a student tutor, Cam Nhung has often heard parents complain that meetings are often dry, lack interaction and do not help them understand their children's learning situation in class. When she officially became a teacher and took on the role of exchanging information with parents, Cam Nhung admitted that this was a stressful time.

After only two weeks of teaching, Cam Nhung had to organize her first parent-teacher conference. As a young teacher, she was worried that she would not be able to fulfill her role as a liaison between school and home.

From those concerns, teacher Cam Nhung created a small game, integrated into the meeting, with the hope of creating excitement for parents and helping herself to reduce stress. In class, she often integrates games into lessons to help students absorb knowledge naturally, so organizing games in parent meetings also aims to help parents better understand teaching methods, and at the same time grasp part of the learning spirit of students in class.

Cam Nhung is currently working at Phan The Dong Primary School, Dong Thap Province (formerly Tien Giang ). Although she has only been with Chau Binh 2 Primary School for a short time, her dedication and enthusiasm are loved by the students and parents here.
