Doctor Nguyen Sy Trinh - Head of the Department of Nephrology and Musculoskeletal, who directly performed the technique, said: The successful implementation of the technique of digital subtraction angiography, dilation and stent placement of the carotid artery is extremely important, improving cerebral circulation for patients, reducing symptoms of headache and dizziness. In particular, this technique helps prevent future strokes for patients due to atherosclerosis of blood clots that block the carotid artery.

Previously, through the transfer from Hue Central Hospital, the provincial General Hospital has also mastered the technique of removing blood clots using mechanical instruments, helping to effectively treat stroke patients. This technique has contributed to the effective treatment of dozens of patients with acute stroke in recent times.
