Singer Dan Truong reveals his health status at the age of 49

(Dan Tri) - Singer Dan Truong said that recently, he has mainly spent time resting to get in the best physical condition to prepare for the concert celebrating 30 years of singing this November.

On September 8, singer Dan Truong officially announced the live concert Dan Truong 30 years - Youthful Impressions, marking a special milestone in his singing career. The male singer said that this could be the "last live show" of his career.

"Because in the coming years, I'm afraid I won't have the health and other conditions to continue doing such big programs," Dan Truong said.

When asked about his health, the male singer said that he has suffered from bone and joint diseases and vestibular disorders for many years. "There are days when I constantly feel dizzy, standing or sitting still. The doctor said that this disease cannot be cured completely and requires a long period of rest," the singer shared.

Dan Truong said that for that reason, he did not dare to perform complicated dance moves. Currently, the singer is trying to train his body to prepare for 30 performances in the upcoming live concert.

Dan Truong shared that there were times when he felt discouraged and thought he would live a peaceful life. There were times when the male singer had to face storms, which made him feel down. However, the companionship of the audience was the motivation for him to overcome the obstacles. The live concert celebrating 30 years of singing was his way of thanking his fans.

“People ask me why I don’t usually go out. I want to take time off to rest so I can be in the best shape and shine on stage. Because for me, when I work, I have to be meticulous, I can’t use any excuse about health,” he said.

According to Dan Truong, this live concert was a big pressure because there were about 30 performances, including 10 new songs that he ordered from young musicians. Therefore, he had to spend time practicing his voice and practicing choreography.

The program features a lineup of artists such as singer Cam Ly, rapper Den Vau, singer Quoc Thien, Hoa Minzy... In particular, Mathis Thien Tu - the male singer's son - will also participate with a special performance for the audience.

Sharing the reason for choosing this guest lineup, Dan Truong said that, in addition to the singers who have collaborated well with him in his musical career such as Cam Ly, he also wanted to bring a new, youthful color to the performances, combining with Quoc Thien or Hoa Minzy...

"Producer" Hoang Tuan - Dan Truong's manager - revealed that the program was prepared for 3 years, with an investment of 11 billion VND. The crew even brought many horses from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi to serve the show.

"Up to now, not including the cost of creating the smoke and fire effects, the amount of money prepared for the program has reached 11 billion VND, of which 80% is for investing in the stage," said Mr. Tuan.

Dan Truong's live concert celebrating 30 years of singing will take place on November 1 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Hanoi).
