Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 12, from October 25th to 26th, Dak Plo commune experienced prolonged heavy rainfall, causing landslides and damaging construction, irrigation, and transportation infrastructure; houses and crops of local people were affected, with estimated losses of approximately 7.5 billion VND.
As of 7 PM on October 26th, no casualties had been reported in the commune, but many houses were flooded, and there was a high risk of landslides.
The People's Committee of the commune directed and mobilized the relocation of 26 households with 116 people from areas at risk of landslides and flash floods to safe places, temporarily staying with relatives and neighbors in the village.

Currently, many roads in the area are affected by landslides, temporarily cutting off traffic, including: the route from Dak Rooc Nam village to the Dak Plo Commune People's Committee; the DH81 route from Mang Khen village to the Commune People's Committee; the DH83 route; and the routes from Peng Lang village to Dak Book village.
These roads were blocked by landslides, isolating 449 households with more than 1,500 people in the villages of Dak Book, Peng Lang, Bung Ton, and Bung Koong.
Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Plo commune, said that the commune has deployed forces to closely monitor information in the four isolated villages, ready to provide essential supplies, food, and medicine when people need them.
