Singer Nguyen Vu, 50 years old: Private life, just wants to be close to his mother

(Dan Tri) - With over 30 years of dedication to art, singer Nguyen Vu has left many impressions in the hearts of audiences. At the age of 50, the male singer is still devoted to music.

Nguyen Vu said that for him, being able to stand on stage and sing is happiness. The male singer even declared: "Directors and entertainment companies with programs can call me, I promise not to ask for a salary."

When asked if he was afraid of being called "out of date" or "out of shows", Nguyen Vu shared that he accepted that. "In this profession, old bamboo grows new bamboo, new waves push old waves, that's normal. I know where I am and what I have achieved," the singer shared.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, Nguyen Vu has witnessed many of his friends passing away at a young age, most recently model and designer Nam Phong. That made him cry when recalling it, but he also told himself to live a more useful life and contribute more.

Recently, Nguyen Vu launched the music project Vietnam: The Era of Rising, including 34 songs praising the beauty of 34 provinces and cities after the merger process, with the desire to spread good values about the country's innovation. Some of the songs were composed by himself.

Nguyen Vu and his team felt proud when all difficulties were overcome and the project was completed on schedule. Thanks to this project, Nguyen Vu refused many foreign shows and had the opportunity to be closer to his mother. He said that his mother was getting old, so he just wanted to spend as much time as possible with her.

Nguyen Vu also hopes that these songs will contribute to honoring and promoting the beauty of the provinces and cities, calling for the preservation and promotion of regional cultural values, praising the friendly beauty of the Vietnamese people and especially expressing gratitude for the heroic sacrifices of heroes.

He hopes to have the opportunity to bring these songs to perform in localities, along with local artists, spreading love for his homeland to everyone.
