On the morning of May 8, the coffin of musician Truong Hoang Xuan was brought to the funeral home of Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital. He passed away on May 3 at his home in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City, at the age of 85.

"Therefore, my brother's body had to be taken to Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital for an autopsy according to the forensic examination, and at the same time, waiting for his children in France and the US to return to Vietnam to take care of the funeral, so the funeral was held today. Thank you to the audience, artists, fellow singers and my brother's students when he was a teacher at Nguyen An Ninh High School, District 10, for coming to visit, express condolences and encourage the family during the past time" - Ms. Truong Thi Dan, sister of the late musician Truong Hoang Xuan, said.

Singer Trang My Dung shared that the Vietnamese music industry was shocked to see off one of the talented musicians. He left a deep impression on music lovers through songs like "Bac trang lua hong" and "Hai hoa rung cho em". Although he did not compose many songs, only about 20 songs, Truong Hoang Xuan left behind immortal works. "Hai hoa rung cho em" was written by him in 1966 and "Bac trang lua hong" tells the story of a broken love due to poverty. I have an unforgettable memory with him, that is when recording his songs, he often came to the studio to listen and guide me in performing" - singer Trang My Dung said.

Born in 1939 in Saigon, musician Truong Hoang Xuan showed his musical talent early. From the age of 16, he played the piano in restaurants to help his family. In 1960, after graduating from Pedagogy, he went to teach in Long Khanh, Binh Tuy province.

In 1968, he worked with musicians such as To Kieu Ngan, Do Kim Bang, Tram Tu Thieng and composed many songs about love. After 1975, he moved to work in the Post Office , in charge of the mass arts movement and taught Music at Nguyen An Ninh High School until his retirement.

Mr. Truong Hoang Giang Dong - son of the late musician Truong Hoang Xuan - expressed his thanks to the audience and artists who have loved and expressed condolences to the family in the past days.

Musician Truong Hoang Xuan's personal life has encountered many difficulties. After his divorce, his five children followed their mother to settle abroad, and he lives alone in a small house in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City. Despite his old age and illness, he remains optimistic and does not blame life.

Although he has passed away, Truong Hoang Xuan's melodies still live forever in the hearts of music lovers. He left behind a valuable musical legacy, contributing to enriching the Vietnamese music treasure. The song "White Silver, Pink Fire" is loved by many generations of audiences:

"Is our love just like that? Why did we meet so fleetingly like a dream? Your love is like a high cloud, my love is like the moonlight and stars, Why can't we be close to each other?

The life of money separates us - Silver and fire, so life is more distant - My path is full of wind and rain, your path is embroidered with brocade and flowers - This pain will never fade away..."

But the melodies he left behind will resonate forever - like a gentle sigh in this bustling life. Farewell to him - the one who tells love stories through music" - singer Trang My Dung said.

Mr. Truong Hoang Giang Dong, son of the late musician Truong Hoang Xuan, expressed his gratitude to the audience and artists who have loved and expressed their condolences to the family in the past days. "My father left behind a great musical legacy, which is more than 20 good songs composed before 1975, after 1975 there were more than 40 songs written with many different themes and genres. I followed in my father's footsteps, but mainly wrote about hymns. So to some extent, I have also fulfilled my father's last wish, which was to write hymns. Thank you for all the love that the public and music lovers have given to my father."

The funeral of musician Truong Hoang Xuan will be held at the Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital Funeral Home (336 Tran Phu, Ward 7, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City). The burial ceremony will be held at 7:00 a.m. on May 10, followed by cremation at Binh Hung Hoa.
