Localities complete land inventory before August 20

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment requires provinces and cities to complete land inventories after administrative unit rearrangement before August 20, 2025 to ensure effective management.

Land inventory of 34 provinces and cities after merger must be completed before August 20, 2025.

The above is one of the contents of Official Dispatch No. 3974 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment sent to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to synthesize land inventory data of 34 provinces and cities after the merger.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment recommends that localities urgently complete administrative boundary records at provincial and commune levels to serve the synthesis of land inventory data and the creation of maps of current land use status at all levels after the arrangement of administrative units.

The results of administrative boundary determination must be sent to the Ministry before July 10.

Along with that, localities need to adjust projects and plans for land inventory and mapping of current land use status in 2024.

Localities need to resolutely direct the work of synthesizing and completing the results of land inventory at the commune and provincial levels in accordance with the provisions of the 2024 Land Law and Decree No. 102/2024 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Land Law.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment recommends that all inventory results must be completed and submitted to the Ministry via the online system before August 20, 2025.

At the same time, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment emphasized that the implementation process needs to ensure consistency, unity and accuracy throughout the system, in order to effectively serve the state management of land and meet the requirements of socio-economic development in the coming period.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment affirmed that the mapping of current land use status takes place after the arrangement of administrative units according to the Resolutions of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee and that land inventory work is important for effective land management and planning.
