With nearly 550 employees working in production lines and departments, Van Phu Garment Joint Stock Company (Nho Quan) always pays attention to implementing solutions to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Director of the Company said: As a manufacturing enterprise in the field of processing garment products for export to the US and EU countries, the Company always focuses on investing in modern and synchronous equipment and machinery to reduce labor for workers.
The automatic equipment system is being invested in and installed by the Company in production departments such as: hanging lines arranged along sewing departments have greatly supported workers in automatically moving products to each sewing position, supporting workers without having to move or exercise.
In addition, automatic bag making systems, automatic programming machines, diagram making machines, etc. also contribute to automating many stages in the Company's production process, directing workers to job positions that require formal, professional training in an industrial direction, reducing labor, improving quality, and increasing labor productivity.
In the summer, the Company also installs a cooling system in the production workshop, has special policies and regimes to help workers feel secure at work such as: bonus regime for male workers participating in sewing lines, support for female workers during childcare time, bonus for exceeding productivity...
On average, the Company pays more than 700 million VND per month in social insurance and unemployment insurance to ensure that employees are paid and enjoy full benefits when sick, on maternity leave, etc.
Caring about the regime and policies for employees is extremely important so that from that care, employees can feel secure in their attachment to the Company and make efforts to work and produce.
Ms. Vu Thi Thuy (Phu Loc Commune, Nho Quan), a worker at Van Phu Garment Company, said: I have worked here for 13 years, my current salary is 16 million VND/month. Along with the good implementation of policies and regulations, the Company also pays attention to implementing conditions to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace such as: labor protection helmets, masks, in the summer there will be a cooling system, fans, drinking water... Therefore, we workers are always assured to stick with the company.
The 2025 Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Action Month was launched with the theme “Strengthening assessment, identification of hazards and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure OSH at the workplace”. This is a peak period of communication activities to raise awareness of compliance with OSH laws at all levels, sectors, agencies, units, organizations, associations, employers, employees and people to pay attention to, implement and comply with OSH laws.
Mr. Trinh Van Duong, Director of Doveco Ninh Binh Factory, Dong Giao Food Export Joint Stock Company, said: The factory currently has 240 employees with an average salary of 10-12 million VND/month. For employees directly involved in production, they are selected, checked at the beginning, ensuring that they meet the health requirements according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health, fully equipped with personal hygiene equipment, and have regular health check-ups to classify diseases in order to have appropriate isolation and treatment measures.
At the same time, as an enterprise with more than 90% of its products exported to more than 50 countries around the world, the Company has invested in a modern, 90% automatic machinery system imported from Japan, Germany, the US and G7 countries, meeting large production capacity, ensuring product quality, especially industrial waste.
The closed, modern food processing area is designed, built and installed in one direction from input materials to final products to avoid cross-contamination. Along with that, the ventilation, lighting, clean water supply systems, waste collection and treatment systems as well as the factory structure are implemented in accordance with the provisions of the National Technical Regulations, ensuring full compliance with food safety standards...
In recent years, through inspections by functional agencies, it has been shown that, not only waiting for the Action Month, enterprises operating in production and business in the province have paid attention to promoting specific action programs to improve working conditions; review and develop safe working procedures and measures, assess occupational safety and health risks; care for and improve workers' health, prevent occupational accidents and diseases at production facilities.
In particular, enterprises have regularly organized training on occupational safety and health associated with the characteristics and production characteristics of some special industries, occupations, fields, and jobs with high risks such as working at height, welding and cutting, working in confined spaces, chemical safety, electricity, stone carving, etc.; focusing on practical training, skills in assessing risks, occupational safety and health risks, etc.
Functional sectors, according to assigned tasks, have guided and inspected organizations and enterprises to review and develop regulations, procedures, and safety measures in workshops, factories, and equipment; promoted the implementation of specific action programs to improve working conditions, build harmonious labor relations, reduce stress and fatigue in the workplace, and implement welfare regimes for employees.
Pay attention to organizing dialogues on occupational safety and health with employers and employees to promote implementation and remove obstacles in implementing occupational safety and health policies and laws and recommend amendments.
