This combination provides quick but unsustainable energy, due to the lack of fiber and complex carbohydrates.

The body uses up energy in just a few minutes, leaving you quickly feeling tired and hungry again.

Alcohol with caffeine

Caffeine is a stimulant and alcohol is a depressant, and when combined can cause dangerous effects.

Caffeine can mask the feeling of being drunk from alcohol, making the drinker think he or she is still sober and tend to drink more.

This increases the risk of alcohol poisoning and has negative effects on the liver, brain and cardiovascular system. To protect your health, you should avoid drinking alcohol with tea, coffee or energy drinks.
