The North-South Eastern Expressway Project (phase 2017 - 2020) Dien Chau - Bai Vot section has a total length of more than 49 km through the two provinces of Nghe An (44.4 km) and Ha Tinh (4.84 km) and is implemented in the form of public-private partnership (PPP) with a total investment of VND 11,157 billion.

Hung Duc Bridge over Lam River gradually takes shape

In this component project, there are 31 road bridges, of which Hung Duc bridge over Lam river connecting Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces is the longest river bridge. The bridge is more than 4 km long, 17 m wide with a total estimated value of more than 1,200 billion VND. When completed, Hung Duc will be the longest river bridge on the entire North-South expressway.

Hung Duc Bridge started construction in 2022 and is expected to be completed in May 2024, by a consortium of contractors Dai Hiep Company Limited, Thai Yen Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company, Hoa Hiep Company Limited and Cienco 4 Group Joint Stock Company.

Up to now, Hung Duc Bridge has begun to take shape when the construction units have built 772 bored piles, more than 80 pier bases, bridge abutments and cast nearly 200 prestressed concrete beams (Super T)... At this time, contractors are concentrating human resources and equipment to speed up the construction progress.
