An apartment on the 3rd floor of apartment building D17, Dang Xa urban area, Gia Lam district, caught fire at dawn, causing panic among many people.
At around 1:15 a.m. on September 17, a fire broke out in a 60-square-meter apartment in apartment building D17. Hearing the loud alarm, many residents of the 6-story building shouted and ran downstairs. The fire started to grow and spread out the windows.

At the time of the fire, there were a couple and three children in the apartment. Luckily, everyone escaped before the fire broke out in the living room.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Gia Lam District Police dispatched 3 fire trucks and many officers and soldiers to the scene. After about 5 minutes, the fire was extinguished.
A representative of the Dang Xa Commune People's Committee said the fire did not cause any human casualties, but all the belongings in the apartment were burned down. The victim's family was given new accommodation until the damage was resolved.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. However, according to many residents, the fire started at the altar and then spread throughout the room.
Since the night of September 12, Hanoi has had four high-rise building fires. The fire on the night of September 12 and early morning of September 13 in a mini apartment building in lane 29/70, Khuong Ha street, Khuong Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, killed 56 people and injured 37 others.
