Angler catches 40kg black carp after 3 years of persistently hunting "sea monster"

(Dan Tri) - After 3 years of continuously hunting "sea monsters" on Khe La dam, Mr. Le Khanh Hoa caught a black carp weighing 40kg.

Speaking over the phone, Mr. Le Khanh Hoa (29 years old, residing in Thai Hoa town, Nghe An province) confirmed that his fishing group had just caught a black carp weighing 40kg. According to him, this was the result of the whole group's 3 years of hard work and perseverance in hunting "sea monsters" at Khe La dam, Phu Son commune, Tan Ky district, Nghe An.

After 6 days of fishing here without catching any fish, on the evening of June 15, Mr. Hoa caught a "huge" black carp. The fish was so big that it took 4 people working together to bring it to shore. This is the largest black carp in the past 3 years, since this group of anglers started fishing at Khe La dam.

30 minutes after catching the 40kg fish, the anglers continued to catch another smaller black carp, weighing 29kg. Knowing that Mr. Hoa caught a "huge" black carp, many people came to buy it, but Mr. Hoa did not sell it. He said that this fish will be frozen and preserved because he goes fishing to satisfy his passion and challenge himself, although the money and effort spent to hunt "sea monsters" is not small.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Chairman of Phu Son commune - said: "We have information that Mr. Hoa caught a black carp weighing 40kg on Khe La dam. A few years ago, fishermen also caught fish weighing 20-30kg at the dam, but a 40kg fish is the biggest ever at this irrigation dam". Khe La irrigation dam is 54ha wide, with the deepest point being over 20m, serving irrigation for hundreds of hectares of rice. This area is being contracted by a household to raise fish in cages and open fishing services.
