The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05), Ministry of Public Security, has just issued a document responding to the document of the Department of Cultural Heritage in August, announcing the results of handling the subject spreading false information on Facebook about the registration of "eel porridge" as a national intangible heritage.
Specifically, according to the reflection of the Department of Cultural Heritage sent to the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Facebook account Tran Nhat Anh at 8:47 a.m. on April 14, 2024 posted an article with the content: "On August 9, 2024, the dish CHẢO EON of Nghe An province was included in the list of national intangible heritage".
The article posted a photo of the decision of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which was determined by the Department of Cultural Heritage to be fake.
The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention has reviewed, checked, and verified that the owner of the Facebook page "Tran Nhat Anh" is Tran Thi Nhat Anh, born in 1988, hometown in Thanh Chuong, Nghe An, currently living in Ho Chi Minh City, selling online.
On September 17, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention worked with Mrs. Tran Thi Nhat Anh and her husband.
The two admitted to posting on their Facebook pages and the fanpage "Nghe An Eel" with the content and photos of the unverified decision 3737 as above.
Ms. Nhat Anh said that the origin of the photo of the decision was that her husband accidentally read it and downloaded it from social networks (but did not remember the original posting account); then sent it to Ms. Nhat Anh to repost with the purpose of promoting the sale of the family's eel porridge products and had no other intentions.

After being informed by the authorities that the above decision was fake and the information posted above was false, Ms. Nhat Anh and her husband realized their wrongdoing and voluntarily removed all posts on the Facebook account "Tran Nhat Anh" and the fanpage "Luong Xu Nghe".
The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention found that Ms. Tran Thi Nhat Anh and her husband both had a sincere and cooperative attitude, admitted that their violations were due to limited awareness of the law, and that this was their first violation, and warned Ms. Tran Thi Nhat Anh about the above violation.
Mr. and Mrs. Nhat Anh realized the problem and learned from their mistakes, and pledged not to repeat the mistake.
Recently, there have been many cases of administrative sanctions for posting false, unverified information on social networks.
