Coast Guard Region 3 Command supports flood relief

On the morning of November 20, the Coast Guard Region 3 Command mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers along with 2 boats and 2 mobile trucks to Khanh Hoa to support the locality in responding to the complicated flood situation.
Accordingly, officers and soldiers of the 32nd Naval Division (Coast Guard Region 3) arrived at Ninh Hoa and Dong Ninh Hoa wards. Here, the unit's forces quickly approached isolated residential areas, organized the evacuation of people from dangerous areas; transported necessities; cleared roads buried in mud and reinforced areas at risk of further landslides.
The proactive and timely actions of officers and soldiers of Naval Division 32 in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters continue to affirm the sense of responsibility, bravery and image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Coast Guard soldiers" in the hearts of the people.

33 people were rescued from the crashed passenger bus
On the morning of November 20, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 4 discovered a 40-seat passenger bus with license plate 76B-009.52 of Chin Nghia Company having an accident at Cau Lung section, Dien Khanh commune, Khanh Hoa province. National Highway 1 is deeply flooded due to rising floodwaters. The bus carrying 30 passengers and 3 crew members lost control and was at risk of being swept away. Rescue forces quickly approached the scene and deployed safety measures, moving all 33 people to a safe area, with no casualties.
Previously, on the evening of November 19, the unit received information that many households in Ninh Quy 3 village, Phuoc Hau commune were isolated due to rising floodwaters. The Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 8 immediately deployed a military vehicle and 10 officers and soldiers to the scene. Given the complicated developments of the flood, the unit's leadership mobilized the entire force of 30 officers and soldiers to support the people. At the same time, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 7 provided an additional military vehicle, a canoe and 10 officers and soldiers to participate in the rescue. By 9:30 a.m. on November 20, the authorities had approached, supported and brought more than 120 people to a safe area. The rescue mission is still continuing.
On November 19, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police also received many reports of rescue requests in deeply flooded areas. After receiving the information, the unit dispatched 36 vehicles, canoes and specialized equipment, coordinating with 241 officers, soldiers and related forces to deploy rescue work. The functional forces approached the scene, found a victim's body, and guided the escape and rescued more than 771 people, including injured people, children and the elderly. In addition, the rescue force also supported the transportation of goods, property and guided people to ensure safety in isolated areas.
In Khanh Hoa on the morning of November 20, most low-lying areas, including some wards in the province, were severely flooded and lasted for many days. The flooding in Nha Trang city continued to worsen. The Go supermarket area in Vinh Diem Trung urban area, Tay Nha Trang ward was submerged in water. Floodwaters rose more than one meter high, damaging hundreds of cars. Many roads in Bac Nha Trang ward were deeply flooded, with some places recording a flood level of over one and a half meters. The intersection under Ngoc Hoi overpass was covered by water, causing congestion at the gateway connecting Nha Trang ward and Tay Nha Trang area.
Chairman of Dai Lanh Commune People's Committee Pham Truc Viet said that on the morning of November 20, landslides appeared in the Co Ma Pass area and the south of Ca Pass. Rocks and soil spilled onto the road surface, covering almost the entire road surface in some places. Local forces have deployed forces to block off the road to warn vehicles. The commune has notified the road management unit to promptly fix the problem and ensure traffic safety.
In the southern Khanh Hoa region, many localities of Ninh Phuoc, Phuoc Hau, Phuoc Dinh, Thuan Bac communes, Dong Hai ward, Phan Rang ward... were flooded. On National Highway 1, the section passing through Ninh Phuoc commune, floodwaters overflowed and flowed rapidly on the road, causing many difficulties for people's travel.
