On November 24, Saigon Cultural and Sports Center (Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and Special Police Group No. 2 (Mobile Police Command, K02, Ministry of Public Security) organized an online propaganda session on preventing school violence and kidnapping at Tran Van On Secondary School (Tan Dinh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
The propaganda program will be held at 3 schools in wards: Saigon, Ben Thanh, Tan Dinh, to help students raise awareness, know fraud tricks and skills to prevent school violence and online kidnapping.
Going straight into skills to fight school violence if they are victims, officers and soldiers of Special Police Group No. 2 demonstrated martial arts and performed operations in specific situations, for students to see directly.
Soldier Le Nhat Linh stood on stage with two excellent martial arts soldiers, holding their fists tightly and instructing: "When you are attacked, clench your fists, hug them behind your head, and hold your legs tight.
If the opponent grabs your hair, stay calm, don't struggle, raise your right hand, leave your left hand loosely in front of your face. Then move your legs to the side and use all your strength to knock the opponent down.
Special police task force No. 2 also presented many situations, with two martial arts fighters reenacting each action to handle each case of school violence.
For example, when being attacked with a helmet, when falling, the children are taught the skill of using one hand to support the opponent's neck, the other hand to firmly grasp the helmet handle and push the opponent away; or to attack sensitive points on the opponent's body such as the eyes, nose, throat, neck, abdomen...
Or when being pushed down, losing balance, when the opponent bends down to approach, put all your strength into your legs and kick hard at the face or weak points on the body; or use your knees to attack the back, then immediately crawl away from the dangerous situation...
Students are also taught self-defense techniques when being choked, which are biting anywhere on the attacker's body such as the hands, or using hand force to attack weak points such as the face, body, stomach, etc., reducing the opponent's strength and creating an opportunity to escape.

To avoid being kidnapped online, the soldiers of Special Police Group No. 2 remind students of the 3 no's: do not provide personal information, do not provide bank account numbers, do not follow and self-isolate according to the subject's intentions.
"Online kidnapping prevention skills, when you see any suspicious signs, you should immediately report to teachers, relatives, and parents.
"It is very difficult to deal with school violence or online kidnapping on your own. Don't think you can handle it if you don't have escape skills and must promptly report it to teachers, parents, and even the police," emphasized a soldier of Special Police Group No. 2.
Having seen a specific "example" with his own eyes, Phan Huy (class 8A2, Tran Van On Secondary School) shared that he had a "satisfying" Monday morning and figured out what to do when faced with school violence. "School violence happens inside and outside of school. I learned about solutions to deal with it, but this is the first time I've witnessed it in reality.
Before getting help from school, parents, and authorities, you need to have the skills to handle it yourself first," Huy said.
Teachers are also victims of school violence.
Participating as a speaker in the online propaganda session on preventing school violence and kidnapping, the former lecturer of Ho Chi Minh City Open University recounted a story he witnessed while teaching.
He was a university student who failed his exams three times, and responded by being… violent towards his teachers.
"This student registered for a course exam three times but all three times he did not get enough points. He went to the subject lecturer to "ask for points" but was refused because the lecturer said the points were based on his real ability. The next morning, this student brought acid straight to the faculty office and threw it at the teacher's face. As a result, the teacher suffered 70% disability.
School violence also happens to teachers. From the frustration, the school environment is no longer safe," he said.
