Fire police quickly extinguished the fire in a high-rise building on Thai Ha street.

Initial information, at around 2:15 pm on April 18, a fire broke out at an 18-storey building located at 1 Thai Ha (Dong Da district).

At the scene, flames engulfed the outside of the building, black smoke billowed dozens of meters high, causing panic among local residents. Those inside the building, after being informed of the fire, shouted for each other to run outside.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Police and Rescue Force were mobilized with many specialized vehicles and officers to urgently go to the scene to put out the fire and support people in the building.

People left the building after the fire broke out.

By 3 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control, with only smoke rising from the side of the building. Police remained on the scene spraying water to cool it down, in case the fire flared up again.

Initially, authorities have not recorded any human casualties, property damage is being counted.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
