Mr. Nguyen Khac Viet, Executive Director of Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway Project, said that the reason for the flooded road section was due to prolonged heavy rain, causing too much water to flow in and not drain quickly. Currently, the authorities are blocking the road in the North - South direction.

Specifically, vehicles traveling on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway (North - South direction) are instructed to turn into Ma Lam intersection (Ham Thuan commune, Lam Dong province), then go out to National Highway 1A, then enter Phan Thiet intersection to continue moving.

The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway project has a total investment of 10,853 billion VND, opened to traffic more than 2 years ago, and is more than 100km long (passing through Lam Dong province).
