Update new knowledge on prevention and treatment of infection after artificial joint replacement

On the morning of July 31, the Institute of Orthopedics and Trauma, Military Hospital 175 (Ministry of National Defense) organized a workshop on "Prevention and treatment options for infections after artificial joint replacement" attracting many domestic and foreign experts to attend.

The workshop aims to enhance professional exchange activities with orthopedic trauma experts to update new knowledge on prevention and treatment of infection after artificial joint replacement.

Major General, Doctor, Physician, Senior Physician Le Quang Tri, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 175, spoke at the conference.

Speaking at the workshop, Major General, Dr. Le Quang Tri, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 175, said that artificial joint replacement is one of the great achievements of modern medicine, bringing a better quality of life to millions of patients. Today, most hospitals are capable of performing this technique. However, infection after joint replacement is still one of the serious complications, greatly affecting treatment results, medical costs and especially the health and psychology of patients.

The workshop was organized with the aim of updating knowledge, sharing practical experiences in prevention and selecting optimal treatment strategies for infections after joint replacement. This is an opportunity for the Vietnamese medical team in general and Military Hospital 175 in particular to learn, exchange and access advanced advances from the world's leading joint surgery centers.
