Garbine Muguruza showered Carlos Alcaraz with praise, describing the Spanish star as a rare phenomenon in modern tennis, on par with Rafael Nadal.
According to Muguruza, Alcaraz's strength, confidence, ability to withstand pressure, and explosive competitive spirit make him an ideal role model for the younger generation, and also open up great hopes for the 2026 Australian Open.

Following a brilliant 2025 season with two Grand Slam titles, eight ATP championships, and the world number one ranking for the second consecutive year, Alcaraz is playing explosively despite being only 22 years old.
Coach Juan Carlos Ferrero pointed out the reason for Alcaraz's success this season: "In Indian Wells and Miami in the US, Alcaraz lost a bit of confidence. But winning the Monte Carlo Masters helped him regain his confidence, even though Alcaraz didn't play exceptionally well in Monaco."
Since then, he has reached numerous finals and won Roland Garros and the US Open. The Monte Carlo Masters was a turning point; that tournament gave him confidence, paving the way for extraordinary achievements in 2025."
Alcaraz's next goal is to aim for the 2026 Australian Open, which will take place from January 12th to February 1st in Australia. His main rivals for the title are Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, and Novak Djokovic.
