Following his teachings, over the years, especially in 2025, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has chosen the province's theme with the content " Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style on economic development in conjunction with social progress and equity, with the spirit of "leaving no one behind".
This is demonstrated through many programs to support the poor, develop rural infrastructure, andeducation and training. The spirit of “leaving no one behind” is especially evident in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. Long An is one of the localities that has quickly controlled the epidemic well, ensuring the health and safety of people, quickly recovering and adapting to the “new normal” state.

Previously, Ms. Pham Thi Duyen's family (Tan Hoa hamlet, Binh Hoa Bac commune, Duc Hue district) was a poor household, had no land to cultivate, and her husband and she mainly worked as hired laborers to earn a living. Considering her situation, in 2018, the Commune Women's Union mobilized benefactors to build a charity house.
After 2 years of receiving a new house, Ms. Duyen continued to receive support for a loan of 40 million VND from the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to develop the economy. From this amount, they rented 0.7 hectares of land to grow lemons. Thanks to her experience working for previous lemon gardens, combined with her diligence and hard work, in 2023, her family escaped near poverty.
Ms. Duyen shared: “The price of lemons varies depending on the time. Thanks to the lemon garden, my husband and I have less difficulty in life. I hope that people in the same situation as my husband and I will also receive support to stabilize their lives soon.”

In 2024, Phuoc Hau commune, Can Giuoc district eliminated temporary and dilapidated houses in the area. In addition to caring for and supporting housing for households in difficult circumstances, organizations also study their circumstances to find ways to help them improve their lives. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Oanh is one of the households that received a loan from the job creation loan source with an amount of 50 million VND to renovate vegetable growing land in November 2023. Currently, Ms. Oanh's family cultivates nearly 0.4 hectares of vegetables. Of which, 0.15 hectares is family land, the rest is rented for additional cultivation.

The economic growth rate of the province is assessed as quite high and stable, the average income per capita increases annually, reaching 107.3 million VND in 2024, an increase of 10.7 million VND compared to 2023. This not only reflects economic growth but also the efforts of the government in improving people's lives. The transportation system in the province is increasingly invested in and upgraded. Key projects and breakthrough programs through the terms of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress have made the transportation system smooth, connecting conveniently between the province and Ho Chi Minh City as well as neighboring provinces.

These are policies on health, education, housing, preferential credit, agricultural and industrial promotion, production development support, replication of poverty reduction models, legal aid, etc.
At the same time, the province also called on and mobilized businesses, philanthropists, and people from all walks of life inside and outside the province to support the "For the Poor" Fund to help the poor in the province develop their economy, escape poverty, and stabilize their lives.
