SJC gold bar price drops sharply, buyers last month lost up to 11 million VND/tael

The price of SJC gold bars decreased by 800,000 to 1.1 million VND per tael on the afternoon of June 3, in which the buying price decreased more sharply than the selling price. This is the lowest level since the end of April until now, causing the loss when holding gold to more than 9 - 11 million VND/tael.

On the afternoon of June 3, Saigon Jewelry Company - SJC reduced the price of SJC gold bars twice by 300,000 - 600,000 VND each time, bringing the total price reduction to 800,000 - 1.1 million VND/tael. The buying price of SJC gold bars is 114.9 million VND/tael, selling price is 117.2 million VND. Similarly, Doji Company, Bao Tin Minh Chau, Phu Quy... also reduced from 800,000 to 1.1 million VND per tael, down to 114.9 million VND for buying, 117.2 million VND for selling. Phu Quy Company alone has a buying price of 114.4 million VND, selling price of 117.2 million VND.

The price of gold rings decreased by 500,000 - 800,000 VND/tael. SJC Company bought for 111 million VND, sold for 113.6 million VND. Bao Tin Minh Chau Company bought for 113.2 million VND, sold for 116.2 million VND. Doji Group bought for 111.5 million VND, sold for 113.5 million VND...

Compared to the peak at the end of April, gold ring holders lost 9-11 million VND/tael, while SJC gold bars are currently losing more than 9 million VND/tael. This is the lowest level of gold bars since April.

The rate of gold price decrease in Vietnam is faster than in the world . The precious metal in the world market only decreased by about 3 USD/ounce, down to 3,359 USD/ounce. Some gold trading companies said that many customers brought gold to sell, so the buying price decreased faster than the selling price. This led to the narrowing of the expensive level of gold in Vietnam. SJC gold bars were priced 11 million VND/tael higher than the world price instead of 12 million VND/tael on the morning of June 3, while gold rings were higher at 7.4 - 10 million VND/tael./.
