
In order to express the spirit of remembering the source of water, the heart of the city's artists and writers for those who have devoted and sacrificed for the Fatherland, in Kon Tum, artists and the family of comrade Tran Trong Tan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Ideology and Culture Committee, former Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, contributed to giving many practical gifts.
Of which, 50 gifts were given to families of policy beneficiaries and war invalids; 30 gifts were given to people in difficult circumstances; 1 zither, 3 tamurin hand drums, 100 bamboo flutes, 1 guitar with concave keys, 1 modern guitar and 1 box of books about the Hero of the Armed Forces Nguyen Van Bay were given to the soldiers. On this occasion, designer Viet Hung gave Ao Dai fabric to 60 female teachers in Kon Tum province.
Also during the trip, artists from Ho Chi Minh City presented 2 scholarships to 2 adopted children of Border Guard soldiers in especially difficult circumstances: Thao Tung Anh (4th grade student, Po Y commune), Y Anh (8th grade student, Po Y Secondary School). Each scholarship is worth 10 million VND. In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City presented 1 gift to the Training - Mobile Battalion, Kon Tum Provincial Border Guard Command; artists presented 34 gifts to 34 officers and soldiers. The total cost of the gifts and the gifts is 155 million VND.










On the same day, the artists offered incense and flowers at the Dak To - Tan Canh Victory Monument, learned about the Dak To - Tan Canh victory, and performed the flag-raising ceremony at Po Y border gate.
This is the land that more than 50 years ago was a fierce battlefield. With heroic and resilient fighting, on April 24, 1972, our army and people crushed the entire enemy stronghold in Dak To - Tan Canh and continuously destroyed the entire enemy military defense system in the Northern Central Highlands, expanding the liberated area, making an important contribution to the liberation of the South and national reunification.
With historical values concluded by the great sacrifices of thousands of soldiers in the Dak To - Tan Canh battle in 1972, recognizing those achievements, the Prime Minister issued Decision 2499/QD-TTg to rank the Dak To - Tan Canh Victory Site as a special national historical relic.




Participating in the journey to the source were 108 delegates including veteran artists who participated in the General Offensive and Uprising in the Spring of 1975; outstanding artists of the city's Literature and Arts Associations; art units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City; artists who have made many contributions to promoting and preserving national arts and traditional culture... Among them, there were People's Artists Ta Minh Tam, Trong Phuc, Thanh Thuy, My Uyen, Phuong Loan; Screenwriter Duong Cam Thuy; Meritorious Artists Nhat Sinh, Phi Yen, The Vi, Tuyet Thu, Anh Tuyet, Thu Thuy, Le Hong Tham, Vo Thien Lan...
