This is the land that more than 50 years ago was a fierce battlefield. With heroic and resilient fighting, on April 24, 1972, our army and people crushed the entire enemy stronghold in Dak To - Tan Canh and continuously destroyed the entire enemy military defense system in the Northern Central Highlands, expanding the liberated area, making an important contribution to the liberation of the South and national reunification.

With historical values concluded by the great sacrifices of thousands of soldiers in the Dak To - Tan Canh battle in 1972, recognizing those achievements, the Prime Minister issued Decision 2499/QD-TTg to rank the Dak To - Tan Canh Victory Site as a special national historical relic.
