By 2030, meet the human resource needs to serve Ninh Thuan nuclear power plant

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long has just signed a decision approving the Project "Training and fostering human resources to serve nuclear power development until 2035".

The project's goal is to meet the human resource needs of the Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plants by 2030. Specifically, the Ninh Thuan 1 nuclear power plant has a total of about 1,920 people, of which 1,020 have university degrees (engineers, bachelors) and 900 have college degrees. The number of university-educated workers newly trained abroad is 320.

Ninh Thuan 2 Nuclear Power Plant has a total of about 1,980 people, of which 1,050 have university and postgraduate degrees, and 930 have college degrees. The number of university and postgraduate employees newly trained abroad is 350 people.

The project also plans to train and update knowledge for management staff of Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plants.

Regarding the training of specialized lecturers to serve the training of human resources for the Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plants, the project aims to train lecturers in nuclear power specialties to supplement the teaching human resources for training institutions assigned to train and foster human resources for the Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plants, about 120 people (80 masters, 40 doctors).

In the 2031 - 2035 period, the project strives to train and supplement human resources to meet the actual needs of nuclear power plants.

One of the solutions proposed by the project is to prioritize selecting students who have graduated from the same major to send for training and development in the nuclear power major with a commitment to serve the Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plants in each specific phase; selecting and sending students who are studying in the first and second year at domestic training institutions to study abroad with a commitment to serve the Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plants.

At the same time, organize for leaders, managers, and leading nuclear scientists to survey experiences in training human resources in the field of nuclear power.

The project also focuses on key investments in a number of human resource training facilities to serve the development of Ninh Thuan 1 and Ninh Thuan 2 nuclear power plants.
