Specifically, Xuan Son suffered a complex closed fracture of the middle third of the 2 tibia bones, with a large loose fragment.

After consultation, the doctors decided on the surgical method of closed bone fixation using intramedullary nails with pins under the fluoroscopy screen. This is a minimally invasive surgical solution, helping to minimize soft tissue damage and ensure recovery time.

Xuan Son was taken into the operating room at 6pm tonight. The surgery is expected to last 1 hour, after which he will be transferred to the intensive care unit for monitoring and assessment.

The main doctor performing the surgery for player Xuan Son is Professor Tran Trung Dung, director of the Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, an experienced surgeon.
