
The working group led by the Chief of the City Party Committee Office, Tran Thang Loi, inspected the Vu Gia riverbank area, the landslide site in My Hao village. Here, about 300 meters of riverbank were eroded, in some places more than 30 meters deep, causing severe damage to the productive land.

Mr. Le Phan Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Vu Gia Commune, said that many embankments along the Quang Hue and Vu Gia rivers are seriously eroded. If not repaired promptly, the risk of subsidence and being washed away is very high. The floods have also covered about 100 hectares of agricultural land, greatly affecting the next crop.
After the inspection, Chief of the City Party Committee Office Tran Thang Loi requested the locality to review and make detailed statistics on the extent of damage, especially in areas at risk of affecting residential areas and production infrastructure. At the same time, the commune government needs to urgently deploy temporary solutions to limit the spread of landslides and ensure people's safety. In the long term, the city will soon consider a comprehensive treatment plan, solidifying the river embankment system to help stabilize production and life after floods.

Located in the low-lying area downstream of Vu Gia - Thu Bon river, Vu Gia commune often suffers from severe natural disasters. The recent flood caused serious damage in Vu Gia commune with 1 person killed, 10 injured, 287 households (673 people) had to be urgently evacuated. Hundreds of livestock and poultry were swept away; many areas of rice, crops, and aquatic products were flooded and damaged. Total damage was estimated at 80 billion VND, the heaviest in many years.

At the working session with the Standing Committee of the Vu Gia Commune Party Committee, Chief of the City Party Committee Office Tran Thang Loi praised the proactive and responsible spirit of the commune Party Committee and government in responding to and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, especially the timely evacuation of people, ensuring the safety of life and property.
Chief of the City Party Committee Office Tran Thang Loi requested the locality to continue environmental sanitation and disease prevention after the flood. At the same time, it is necessary to make detailed statistics of landslides and damaged infrastructure to propose long-term solutions to restore people's lives and production soon. On this occasion, the working group presented 30 gifts to households that suffered heavy damage and were in difficult circumstances in Vu Gia commune.

Previously, Chief of the City Party Committee Office Tran Thang Loi and the delegation visited and encouraged the forces on duty at the Military Command, Police and Vu Gia Commune Health Station.

Here, Chief of the Office of the Da Nang City Party Committee Tran Thang Loi praised the efforts and responsibility of the forces in responding, rescuing, assisting people in evacuating and overcoming the consequences of floods. He asked the units to continue to promote their core role in preventing and fighting natural disasters, ensuring security and order and taking care of people's health after floods.
The delegation visited two extremely poor households whose relatives were injured by floods and visited the rice milling facility of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet in Trung Son village. This facility was deeply flooded, damaging about 60 tons of rice and causing an estimated loss of nearly 500 million VND.

Chief of the City Party Committee Office Tran Thang Loi shared and encouraged the households to overcome the loss. He also asked the local government to provide timely support so that people can soon stabilize their lives and restore production.
