Factory fire, people climb onto the roof to help police put out the fire

According to initial information, at around 11:40 a.m. on April 9, people discovered a fire breaking out in a factory area near Tho Quang fishing port (Vung Thung 9 Street, Son Tra District). Some witnesses at the scene of the factory fire said that the fire started in a warehouse specializing in storing foam boxes, tires, etc., so the fire quickly spread to neighboring factories.

When the fire was discovered, workers at the factory quickly used water and mini fire extinguishers to put it out, but were unsuccessful because the factory contained flammable materials, and the fire quickly flared up. The large fire, coupled with strong winds, created a column of smoke that covered the entire residential area and Tho Quang boat dock.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Force - Da Nang City Police quickly dispatched 6 specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene, approached the fire and deployed fire fighting.

At this time, dozens of people present at the scene coordinated with the fire fighting force to climb onto the factory roof, break the corrugated iron roof, pull the hose to spray water to put out the fire, and control the fire from spreading to neighboring houses.

By 12:30 p.m. the same day (April 9), the fire was basically under control. Fortunately, there were no human casualties.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the factory fire and assessing the damage.
