Fierce forest fire at night in Nghe An, more than 300 people participated in extinguishing the fire

A fierce pine forest fire in Tan Chau commune, Nghe An province at night, authorities urgently mobilized more than 300 people to put out the fire.

On the morning of August 4, Mr. Phan Van Hung - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Chau commune (Nghe An province) said that a forest fire had just occurred in the area, and the functional forces and local authorities had mobilized more than 300 people to put out the fire.

At around 5:30 p.m. the same day, people discovered a fire breaking out in a pine forest in Tan Chau commune (formerly Dien Phu commune, Dien Chau district). Due to prolonged hot weather, combined with strong winds, the fire quickly spread over a large area.

Upon receiving the news, the local authorities deployed a joint force of about 300 people, including forest rangers, police, army, militia and local people, to the scene to put out the fire. The forces were divided into many groups, approaching the fire points by creating firebreaks and using fire extinguishers to quickly control the spread of the fire.

By around 11pm, the fire was basically under control. However, on-site forces continued to be on duty, putting out the flames, preventing the fire from flaring up again during the night.

According to initial determination, the fire area is a pine forest planted about 15 years old. Currently, the cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
