More than 1 billion VND to support students and people in border communes

(DN) - On November 7 and 8, through the connection of the Association for Promotion of Education and the Red Cross of Dong Nai province, Tanimex Company (Ho Chi Minh City) in coordination with Hung Vuong Hospital visited Dak O and Bu Gia Map communes, two border communes with many difficulties in the province, to award scholarships and bicycles to students; provide free medical examinations, medicine, and gifts along with community works for the poor.

The delegation awarded scholarships, school bags, notebooks and bicycles to students from schools in the two communes; and provided funding to repair 10 restrooms for Dinh Bo Linh Primary School (Dak O commune); and to repair 4 classrooms for Dak A Primary School (Bu Gia Map commune). The total funding for schools in the two communes was 422 million VND.

On this occasion, the volunteer medical team of Hung Vuong Hospital came to examine and provide free medicine to nearly 300 people, with a total value of 150 million VND.

On this occasion, the delegation also presented 300 gifts worth 300 million VND to ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances and supported clean water supply projects for the local working group, Bu Gia Map Border Guard Station and Dak O Border Guard Station, worth 166 million VND.

The total value of the humanitarian activities in the two communes of Dak O and Bu Gia Map is 1 billion 35 million VND.
