'Sold out' tickets to watch Da Nang fireworks, price up to 3 million VND/person

Although the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2025) will not officially open until the evening of May 31, many prime locations to enjoy the fireworks have already been put up for sale.

On May 20, in addition to the official grandstand with more than 10,000 seats, many hotels and high-rise buildings on Tran Hung Dao Street (Son Tra District) - opposite the fireworks stage, also quickly "joined in" by hanging signs for renting seats on the rooftop to serve residents and tourists watching the fireworks.

Many seat rental information is also posted on social networking sites and travel forums.

According to a survey, the price of seats to watch fireworks on cruise ships is currently from 800,000 VND to nearly 3 million VND/person depending on the location, type of boat and the night of the fireworks. For example, the Han River cruise announced the price of 1 million VND/person for the first floor and 1.2 million VND/person for the second floor, including snacks and drinks.

On Tran Hung Dao Street (Son Tra District), the price of a seat to watch the fireworks ranges from 300,000 VND to 1 million VND/seat. If guests go in a group of 15-30 people and rent the entire rooftop, the total cost can be up to more than 10 million VND, depending on the accompanying services.

At house number 185 Tran Hung Dao, the price of seats to watch the fireworks on the opening night on the top floor, the front position is offered for 700,000 VND/seat; the back positions are priced at 350,000 VND/seat, including snacks and drinks.

Ms. MB, a ticket seller at this building, said: "The 4th floor is sold out, now only the 5th and 6th floors are available."

Next to it, a high-rise building also put up a sign selling rooftop seats for 400,000 VND/seat. However, the building’s representative said that priority will be given to groups of 10-15 people or more. Smaller groups will be considered depending on the situation.

Not only private homes and hotels, some restaurants also participate in the fireworks viewing service market.

Ms. N., representative of LG restaurant on Tran Hung Dao street, said: “We rent rooms to watch fireworks for 2 million VND/room, serving groups of 10 people or more, not including food and beverage costs. For groups of 5 people or more, the rental price for a location to watch fireworks is 1 million VND. For individual customers who just sit and watch, without using food and beverage services, the price is 200,000 VND/person. However, the restaurant will consider accepting individual customers.”

DIFF 2025, with the theme “Da Nang - New Era”, will take place from May 31 to July 12, including 6 nights of fireworks competitions by teams from Finland, England, Portugal, Poland, Korea, Italy, Canada, China and host Vietnam.
