Kinh Mon invests more than 28 billion VND to repair dikes

Specifically, the Project to build a new culvert to replace the old Duyen Linh culvert at K22+366 on the left bank of Kinh Thay in Duy Tan ward, with an investment of 8 billion VND.

Project to build a new culvert to replace Pham Xa culvert at K17+736 on the left bank of Kinh Mon River (level IV culvert) in Hien Thanh ward, with an investment of over 5.5 billion VND.

Project to build a protective embankment for the corresponding section K32+850 - K33+100 of Kinh Thay right embankment, Kinh Mon town (level IV embankment) in That Hung ward, with an investment level of over 6.6 billion VND.

Project to repair and renovate Kinh Thay right dike from K35+700 - K36+100 and build Ba Tao sluice at K35+779 Kinh Thay right dike, Kinh Mon town (level IV dike) in Pham Thai ward, investment level 8 billion VND.

All 4 projects above are implemented from the provincial budget support, the Kinh Mon Town Construction Investment Project Management Board organizes the implementation within 2 years (2025 - 2026).

These are weak and degraded points that had incidents during the 2024 flood. The construction of new embankments, culverts, and the repair of the above dike sections aims to enhance drainage capacity, prevent natural disasters, and ensure safety for the area, especially during the rainy and stormy season; improve the efficiency of management and exploitation of the regional irrigation system, contribute to environmental protection, and meet the requirements of infrastructure development according to the irrigation planning...

Kinh Mon town currently has more than 86 km of dikes.
