Every year on the 10th day of the 5th lunar month, Khanh Hoa people hold a festival at Hon Noi bird nest island to commemorate the great merits of the ancestors who founded and developed the bird nest industry.

The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism also requested the Chairmen of People's Committees at all levels - where there are intangible cultural heritages - included in the list within the scope of their duties and powers, to carry out state management according to the provisions of the law on cultural heritage.

The history of the bird's nest industry in Khanh Hoa has a tradition of nearly 700 years. Khanh Hoa province is also home to the largest population of island swiftlets in the country, the quality of bird's nests is rated as the best in the world, and is known as the locality that holds the record for the largest number of island swiftlet caves and the largest output in Asia.

Khanh Hoa bird's nest is not only a dish deeply imprinted in the minds of Khanh Hoa people but also almost becomes a symbol of the rich cuisine of the people here and contributes to promoting Vietnamese cuisine internationally.
