After the boat sank, the three children swam to shore and ran to find someone to rescue them, but their friend died in the pond.

At about 4:10 p.m. on April 15, TVD, born in 2010, residing in Cam Khe B area, Tu Minh ward ( Hai Duong city), and 3 friends from the same ward went to the fish pond area in Xuan Duong area in the ward to play.

Four children got into a boat available at the fish pond to row, but the boat capsized. After D. sank, the remaining children swam to shore to look for adults to save them, but were unsuccessful. This is an area with many fish ponds and few houses.

At 5:55 p.m. the same day, the family found D's body. D. was in 9th grade, the youngest child, with two older sisters.
